AR Diorama

Background

FACING THE CHALLENGE TO ATTRACT VISITORS IN AN IMMPRESSIVE WAY
Attracting the public interest to seek further information related to historical and cultural archives is quite challenging for library and museum institutions. On the other hand, in this digital era people need information or content that is dynamic and able to give an interesting impression. Based on this case, library institutions and museums need to find creative ways to provide interesting experiences to visitors. One of them is by integrating the right technology, as we know that technology has played a big role in today’s world including in the learning process or the procuration of knowledge, culture, and values.

Solution

BRINGING BACK THE HISTORY THROUGH MODERN WAY
In collaboration with DPAD DIY, ARUTALA recently presented AR Diorama Archives. An Augmented Reality AR application that aims to introduce archives related to DIY history coherently to visitors through attractive way. Users will get information and 3D visuals from the Diorama object when directing the scan feature to the markers contained in the Diorama via their smartphone device, this makes the experience of exploring the Diorama more realistic and enjoyable. Furthermore, this application can increase user engagement in learning about the history and various forms of Diorama archives.
